Terms of Service – Ruvole.com
Effective date: October 12, 2026
1. Introduction & Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Ann Tessy Ruguru Wanjohi, operating Ruvole.com at https://ruvole.com ("Ruvole," "we," "us," or "our"), based in Kenya. These Terms govern your access to and use of the Ruvole website, web application, curation software, lookbook generators, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, accessing the platform, purchasing a subscription, or continuing to use the Service following notified modifications, you expressly agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Scope of Service & Multi-Audience Application
The Service is designed and provided for both individual consumers and creators seeking fashion styling tools, as well as business, agency, commercial, and enterprise users utilizing curation features for marketing, client styling, or affiliate publishing.
If you access or use the Service on behalf of a company, partnership, brand, or other legal entity, you represent and warrant that you possess full legal authority to bind that entity to these Terms. In such instances, "you" and "your" refer collectively to both you individually and the authorized entity.
3. User Accounts, Eligibility & Acceptance
- Minimum Age: You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age to register an account or use the Service. The Service is not intended for or directed to minors under 18 years of age.
- Account Registration: A registered user account is required to generate custom outfits, access subscription allowances, and save lookbooks. You must provide accurate, current, and complete information and maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials. You are solely responsible for all activities conducted under your account.
- Acceptance Mechanisms: Acceptance of these Terms is confirmed upon clicking the agreement checkbox during account registration, upon completing a paid subscription transaction, and by continuing to use the Service after notified updates.
4. Service Description & Software Role
Ruvole provides an automated digital styling platform that translates natural language aesthetic descriptions and styling guidelines into cohesive product recommendations and shoppable boards referencing publicly available retail listings.
Important Retail Disclaimer: Ruvole is solely a provider of digital software tools. Ruvole is not an online retailer, seller, merchant, manufacturer, or broker of physical goods. Ruvole does not inventory, pack, warehouse, ship, or process returns for any physical merchandise. All product purchases, order fulfillment, shipping, customer service, and product warranties remain exclusively between you (or your audience) and the independent third-party merchant (such as Amazon.com).
5. Affiliate Program & FTC Regulatory Compliance
Ruvole enables creators and businesses to embed their personal affiliate tracking identifiers (such as an Amazon Associate or Influencer tag) into outbound product links and public lookbooks.
Users who connect affiliate tracking tags are solely responsible for strict compliance with all applicable third-party affiliate agreements (including the Amazon Associates Program Operating Agreement and Policies) and all applicable statutory endorsement standards, including the United States Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255). You agree to provide clear and conspicuous disclosures (such as "#ad" or "#affiliate") on every social media post, story, video, or publication referencing your links.
6. User Content, Intellectual Property & Operating License
Ownership: You retain all ownership rights in the natural language prompts, custom styling notes, and aesthetic preferences you submit to the Service ("User Content").
Operating License: By submitting User Content, you grant Ruvole a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, format, store, and display your submitted content solely to the extent necessary to operate, secure, provide, and improve the Service.
Feedback: If you provide suggestions, feature requests, or feedback regarding Ruvole, we may freely incorporate and implement such feedback without any compensation or obligation to you.
7. Content Moderation, Prohibited Conduct & Appeals
You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful, harassing, fraudulent, defamatory, or abusive purpose. You may not scrape, reverse engineer, systematically extract data, or attempt to circumvent security controls or credit limits.
Enforcement: We reserve the right to review prompts and outputs, issue warnings, remove violating content, or suspend/terminate accounts for violations of these Terms.
Appeals: Users may appeal any moderation, suspension, or termination decision within thirty (30) days by contacting our administrative team at support@ruvole.com. We review each appeal in writing and respond with the outcome.
8. Subscriptions, Monthly Billing & Consumable Credits
- Monthly Subscriptions: Paid subscription tiers (such as the Basic plan) are billed on a recurring monthly cycle at $29.99 USD per month. Billing renews automatically on the scheduled calendar billing date until cancelled.
- Consumable Credits: Subscriptions include monthly credit allocations used to generate outfit recommendations and curate products. Credits are consumable virtual software allowances possessing no monetary, property, or cash value outside the Service. Unused credits refresh with each active billing cycle and are strictly non-transferable.
- Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account billing settings or by emailing support@ruvole.com. Cancellation halts future renewal charges, while access continues through the conclusion of the prepaid billing period.
9. Refunds, Strict 25-Credit Threshold & Digital Delivery Waiver
- Strict 25-Credit Refund Policy: Full or partial refunds for subscription fees are available only if fewer than twenty-five (25) credits have been used during the billing cycle in question. Once twenty-five (25) or more credits have been consumed, the digital service has been substantially delivered, and no refund will be issued.
- Immediate Digital Delivery & Statutory Withdrawal Waiver: Paid digital software access and credit allowances commence immediately upon successful payment processing. If you are located in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction providing statutory 14-day consumer withdrawal rights for distance contracts, you expressly request, consent to, and acknowledge that immediate digital delivery begins upon transaction confirmation, and you expressly acknowledge the resulting loss of statutory withdrawal rights.
10. Account Closure & Data Deletion
You may terminate your account at any time through the platform settings or by emailing support@ruvole.com.
Upon account closure, your saved boards, generated outputs, and custom style prompts are permanently queued for deletion and will no longer be accessible or exportable. Certain billing, invoice, and tax transaction records will be retained for the minimum duration required by applicable statutory financial and corporate reporting laws.
11. Artificial Intelligence Governance & Non-Training Warranty
Ruvole utilizes automated algorithmic processing and artificial intelligence technologies to interpret style prompts, match proportions, and format shoppable recommendations.
Strict Non-Training Guarantee: Personal data, custom prompts, styling inputs, and generated boards submitted by users are never used to train, retrain, or fine-tune public foundation AI models, either by Ruvole or by our external infrastructure providers under the terms governing our integrations.
Human Review: Automated processes operate in the background. Staff of the operator or technical infrastructure providers may review prompts or technical logs strictly for system reliability, debugging, security, or Terms enforcement.
AI Opt-Out: If you wish to opt out of AI-assisted curation features, you may submit a formal request to support@ruvole.com.
12. Third-Party Infrastructure & Service Dependencies
Ruvole relies on trusted, enterprise-grade third-party service providers for cloud database hosting, user authentication, merchant-of-record payment processing, product catalog retrieval, and high-speed automated styling inference. You acknowledge that service availability is dependent on these external networks and that temporary disruptions beyond our reasonable control do not constitute a breach of these Terms.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties ("As-Is" & "As-Available")
The Service is provided on an "AS-IS" and "AS-AVAILABLE" basis, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. Ruvole disclaims all representations and warranties of any kind, whether express, statutory, or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
We make no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, real-time stock levels, pricing accuracy, or sizing availability of third-party retail listings shown on the platform.
14. Limitation of Liability & Mutual Business Indemnity
- Cumulative Liability Cap: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the cumulative aggregate liability of Ruvole, its operator, and agents arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the total fees actually paid by you to Ruvole for the affected service during the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to liability.
- Exclusion of Consequential Damages: Neither party shall be liable for indirect, special, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, commercial revenue, affiliate commissions, data, or goodwill.
- Business Indemnity: Commercial and enterprise users agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Ruvole from and against third-party claims arising from the commercial user's breach of these Terms, unlawful User Content, or violation of third-party affiliate rules. Business users are not required to indemnify Ruvole beyond user-caused third-party claims.
15. Regional Statutory Consumer Protections
Nothing in these Terms shall limit or exclude any non-waivable statutory rights or legal remedies guaranteed to consumers under mandatory local consumer protection statutes, including the European Union Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU), the United Kingdom Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Australian Consumer Law (Competition and Consumer Act 2010), the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Brazilian Consumer Defense Code (Law No. 8,078/1990), or Canadian provincial consumer protection legislation. Where statutory guarantees apply by law, our liability is limited strictly to the minimum remedies permitted by those statutes.
16. Intellectual Property, Trademarks & Non-Affiliation
The Ruvole name, logos, website layout, algorithms, and interface designs are the intellectual property of the operator. All rights not expressly granted herein are reserved.
Trademark Disclaimer: Amazon, Amazon Associates, Amazon Prime, and the Amazon logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates. All third-party trademarks, brand names, and product imagery referenced on Ruvole are the property of their respective owners. Ruvole is an independent outfit curation tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored, or certified by Amazon.com, Inc.
17. United States DMCA Clarification
Ruvole provides private software curation tools and automated styling utilities; Ruvole does not operate as an open public host for unvetted user-generated file uploads and does not maintain a statutory Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) designated notice agent. If you believe your copyrighted work is infringed, you may contact support@ruvole.com with relevant details for review.
18. Force Majeure & Events Beyond Reasonable Control
Ruvole shall not be held liable or responsible for any failure, delay, or interruption in Service performance resulting directly or indirectly from acts of God, civil disturbances, strikes, labor disputes, power grid failures, governmental actions, telecommunications outages, or third-party infrastructure failures beyond our reasonable control, while preserving mandatory statutory obligations.
19. Search Engine Non-Indexing
Hosted Terms of Service and Privacy Policy documentation pages, as well as private customer workspace boards, incorporate technical headers and directives instructing search engines not to index or cache private user sessions.
20. Governing Law, Venue & Dispute Resolution
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or related to them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the mandatory laws applicable in your jurisdiction of residence, without giving effect to conflict-of-law principles.
No Mandatory Arbitration: Ruvole does not impose mandatory binding individual arbitration clauses, class-action waivers, or forced jury trial waivers upon consumers. Disputes shall be resolved through good-faith administrative negotiations by contacting support@ruvole.com or before courts of competent jurisdiction.
21. Material Modifications & Advance Notice
We may revise these Terms to reflect operational, legal, technical, or regulatory changes. Material changes will be communicated at least thirty (30) days prior to taking effect via in-service notification or registered account email. Your continued access to or use of the Service following the effective date of revised Terms confirms your binding agreement to the modifications.
22. Severability, Entire Agreement & Contact
If any provision of these Terms is deemed unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be severed and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and notices provided at collection, constitute the entire agreement between you and Ruvole.
